The Pylons Book

The Pylons Book now has its own website at http://pylonsbook.com/. We are releasing it under an Open Source license so it is free to read online. We'd really appreciate any feedback you have so we've set up a special feedback email address. It is feedback at pylonsbook.com

Happy reading!

The first chapters and a draft timetable will be posted here at the end of June 2007

Could someone who knows the status of the above please update this? Thank you!

Is this book still in the works and just delayed a bit?

I'm interested in this as well, please update.

Chapters 2-4 have an initial draft under technical review (by me). Several other chapters have a pre-draft written. I don't know James's schedule for publishing them to the web; he seems to be working on content instead at this point. The ongoing changes to Pylons are forcing more updates to the book than expected; this may account for the delay.

Yes, the book is very much still in production. The first draft is virtually completed - I'm just re-writing some of the later chapters so then we can start the reviewing and copy-editing phases.

Can we please get a copy of the current draft up? There is so little documentation out there... Drafting/making this book behind closed doors is a huge mistake.

Um...I think you'll get a pretty good taste of it with the 0.9.7 docs:
